Plankton Art Company was established in 1996 by award-winning illustrators Susan and Allen Crawford.
Susan and Allen work independently in their own distinct styles, but they often team up on larger projects. Their shared background in biology and conservation has enabled them to work with prestigious institutions like the American Museum of Natural History and Friends of the Smithsonian National Zoo. They've worked for a wide variety of clients in publishing, merchandising, and advertising, but they tend to specialize in science-based institutions, children's educational projects, and illustrated books.
